Hi I’m Chris - portrait and wedding photographer, ridiculous selfie artist, & photo educator based in Geneva, IL. The spark for Outside The Box sessions occurred on a Zoom call, of all places. My couple confessed to me they weren’t really in to the fields, sunsets, and romantic walks in the park. They wanted something totally unique that represented them and would make friends & family laugh. I sent them some of my off the wall personal work, selfies, & GIFs as inspiration - including an old shot of me riding the Monopoly car around the board. They asked if could put them into a Dungeons & Dragons game, and the rest is history.

Here’s what to do.

1. Reach Out

Fill out the form below to tell me a little about you and your vision (even if it's just "we want something different but don't know what yet"—that’s totally okay!)

2. Zoom With Me

We’ll hop on a Zoom call to brainstorm ideas, set the stage for your unique engagement photos, and get your session on the calendar.

3. Detailed Planning Call (optional)

Sometimes ideas take a little while to cook and one chat isn’t enough. If needed, we’ll schedule an additional planning call session to refine the concept, outfits, props, details, etc.

4. Session Day!

This is where the magic happens. We’ll bring the vision to life in a creative, playful, and relaxed session designed entirely around you.

5. Image Reveal & Ordering

1–2 weeks after your session, we’ll meet on Zoom again. You’ll see the rough edits of your images and we’ll work together to choose your favorites for your artwork.

6. Artwork & Gallery Delivery

Selected images are fined tuned down to every last detail before being transformed into stunning wall art or a Story Box collection. Turnaround time is typically within 4-6 weeks from ordering.
